Big step to curb climate change

WHETHER it is due to water or electricity cuts, Malaysians are now being compelled to examine the way we generate and use the energy, water and other resources available to us. With regard to energy, how can Malaysians take further proactive action to encourage more efficient use of it?

Climate change a significant subject in schools

ON MAY 24, 2019, hundreds of thousands of students around the world went on strike to highlight inadequate global action on climate change. In Penang, eleven students joined this movement in a protest occurring after school hours and with the support of parents and non-governmental organisations.

Petronas says acts on climate change

ACCEPT’s Involvement and Contribution in the Regional Training Workshop on Green Building in Singapore

Singapore – A regional training workshop on the green building was held from 16 to 18 July 2019 in Singapore, which was jointly organized by the Energy Market Authority (EMA) Singapore and International Energy Agency (IEA). The theme of the workshop was “tracing the path to low-emission, efficient and resilient buildings, and constructions” and therefore, the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) recognized the importance of such training. Through the ASEAN Climate Change and Energy Project (ACCEPT), ACE has partially sponsored this event and two research analysts from ACE have participated in this workshop.

The 12th of July this year marks the 72 years journey of cooperatives in Indonesia. After the first Cooperatives Congress in 1947, Indonesia celebrates 12th July as a National Cooperatives Day.
