Kicking Off the In-House Lecture Series on Energy and Climate Change

ASEAN Climate Change and Energy Project (ACCEPT) has conducted the first lecture on energy-climate related topics on 20 December 2019 at ACE. This knowledge sharing is an In-house lecture series that will be continued as a monthly activity. The lecture was attended by ACE staffs from all departments, including technical and non-technical staffs, supporting staffs and interns. The main purpose of this in-house lectures is to build the capacity of ACE on the knowledge of energy and climate change across different disciplinaries and departments.

Construction sector addressing climate change

The construction sector is complicit in the threat of climate crisis, emitting carbon dioxide (CO2) gas through greenfield development, material production and the use of fossil fuels. While ASEAN countries have expressed their joint commitment through national pledges to take action and fight climate change, they are still primarily focused on developing their nations.

ACCEPT in the Indonesia Energy Transition Dialogue (IETD) 2019

The ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) has been invited by the Indonesia Clean Energy Forum & Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR) to present the “State of Energy Transitions in ASEAN Countries” at the Indonesia Energy Transition Dialogue (IETD) 2019. Whereby, the dialogue was held in the Tribata Hotel, Jakarta from 13 to 14 November 2019, and was attended by ambassadors of Denmark and the United Kingdom, Indonesian Government senior officials, University researchers, International Organizations (IOs) and private companies.

Heading Towards the Final Stage of “The 6th ASEAN Energy Outlook”

The development of the 6th ASEAN Energy Outlook is now approaching the final stage. As per the plan, ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) conducted country visit meetings to discuss the model that has been developed. The purpose of the meeting is to show the preliminary result of the AEO6 on Business as Usual (BAU) scenario and ASEAN Country Target Scenario (ATS).
