Senior Energy Analyst
  • Advanced university degree in a quantitative discipline, such as economics, econometrics or statistics, with minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Excellent understanding on energy issues: national, regional and global energy trends and development and has demonstrated skills to coordinate and develop research areas.
  • Proven analytical abilities as demonstrated in the past work products (analytics reports, quantitative analysis, operative models, and/or published papers) – ability to carry of energy/power system modelling.
  • Excellent inter-personal attribute including: tact sensitivity, sound and strong organizational and leadership capability, able to work effectively and efficiently in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Promote open reporting culture, that is transparent, compliant and having integrity.
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.
Internship on GIS and Energy Database Management System
  • Ability to design and create compelling maps, data summaries, and visualizations.
  • Enrolled in a bachelor or master degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, energy studies, or related field with an emphasis on GIS (minimum the third-year student or pursuing with at least one semester/quarter remaining after internship).
  • Recently graduated with a university degree (Bachelor or Master or equivalent) and, if selected, must commence the internship within a 6 months period after graduation.
  • Proficiency in English and very good writing skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and to adapt to an international working environment.
  • Familiarity with Arc GIS software is a plus.
Energy Statistician
  • A university degree in a topic relevant to statistics, energy, economic or computer programming.
  • Experience in the basic use of databases and computer software.
  • Ability to work accurately, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines, as well as organise work efficiently and deal simultaneously with a wide variety of tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal attribute including: sensitivity, sound and strong organisational and leadership capability, able to work effectively and efficiently in a multicultural environment, including in liaising with contacts in National Focal Points on Energy Statistics and other relevant institutions.

Administration and Finance Officer
  • A Bachelor’s degree of Accounting or Business Administration with minimum two (2) years’ experience in the application of basic educational field to Accounting and Finance. Fresh graduate with outstanding performance is also encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated ability to carry out the project administration and financial functions and tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organise tasks and work flows, with proven ability for accuracy under pressure and adherence to deadlines.

  • Bachelor degree or postgraduate in electrical engineering.
  • At least 5 years of work experience on energy industry and EE&C related in ASEAN region.
  • Knowledgeable on energy issues, global and regional energy trends and developments and has demonstrated skills to coordinate and implement projects and programmes.
  • Experience on developing public EE finance experience is an advantage.
  • Excellent command of English and capacity in writing high quality reports and presentations.
  • Experience in project monitoring and evaluation

Finance Consultant on EEF Mechanism
  • Postgraduate in legal/financial related fields, preferably ASEAN and Japanese national
  • At least 5 years of work experience on financial instruments in Asia.
  • Experience on developing private EE finance experiences and public support
  • Excellent command of English and capacity in writing high quality reports and presentations.
  • Experience in international presentations.
Admin and Finance Officer EEF Mechanism
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Commerce, Economics or Business Studies, preferably ASEAN and Japanese national. (based in Jakarta)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Finance and Administration department.
  • Knowledgeable on energy issues, global and regional energy trends and developments and has demonstrated skills to coordinate and implement projects and programmes.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain sound working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organise tasks and workflows, with proven ability for accuracy under pressure and adherence to deadlines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaborative work practices.
  • Ability to multi-task, work long and irregular hours, perform tasks outside of job scope, and willingness to travel on short notice.
Policy Consultant on EEF Mechanism
  • Postgraduate in energy policy or political science, preferably ASEAN and Japanese national.
  • At least 5 years of work experience on public green financial instruments or EE&C and energy related in ASEAN.
  • Knowledgeable on energy issues, global and regional energy trends and developments and has demonstrated skills to coordinate and implement projects and programmes.
  • Experience on developing public EE finance.
  • Excellent command of English and capacity in writing high quality reports and presentations.
  • Experience in international presentations
Internship Programme
  • ASEAN national.
  • Proficiency in English and very good writing skills.
  • Interest in the field of ACE’s work, particularly the APAEC 2016-2025’s 7 (seven) Programme Areas; ASEAN Power Grid, Trans-ASEAN Gas Pipeline, Coal and Clean Coal Technology, Energy Efficiency and Conservation, Renewable Energy, Regional Energy Policy and Planning, and Civilian Nuclear Energy.
  • Enrolled in Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy studies, international relations, or related field (minimum the third-year student). For communication interns, a degree in language studies is preferred.
  • Enrolled in a Master degree in engineering, energy studies, or related field (pursuing at least one semester/quarter remaining after internship).
  • Recently graduated with a university degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent) and, if selected, must commence the internship within a 6 months period after graduation.
  • Basic knowledge on general computer software (i.e. MS Office).
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and to adapt to an international working environment.
Research Fellowships
  • The timing and duration of the visit.
  • The nature of the proposed research that should be in-line and in support of the 7 (seven) Programme Areas of the ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation 2016-2025: ASEAN Power Grid; Trans-ASEAN Gas Pipeline; Coal and Clean Coal Technology; Energy Efficiency and Conservation; Renewable Energy; Regional Energy Policy and Planning; and Civilian Nuclear Energy.
  • Confirmation that the applicant are/will be enrolled in a PhD or Postdoctoral programme during the fellowship.
  • Sponsorship situation: the applicant is fully funded by a sponsoring institution or seeks fund from ACE.
  • Full proposal of the research (if available) or a one-page outline of the specific piece of research.
  • Proposed length of stay at ACE, between 3 and 6 months.
