ASEAN Energy Sentimental Index (AESI)

Indeed, ASEAN energy community urgently needs indicators to give emergency response to them especially for the private sector, reflecting government policy update. ACE plans to initiate an Energy Sentiment Index for ASEAN.
The objective is to aim at generating a warning sign for public and private sector decision-makers in the ASEAN energy sector in terms of confidential index, i.e. investment, business opportunity, trade facilitation, market access, regulatory update, government policy facilitation, etc. Noting that energy sector has been playing a crucial role to the country overall economy, the synthesis of index would take into account the impacts, e.g. energy price rise, economic turbulence, uncontrolled situations and other current issues, that will be of great benefit to all energy stakeholders in ASEAN. AESI will be designed to range between 0-200 having 100 as a par using a Delphi approach".
