Action Plans for EE Standards and Labeling for Cambodia

Key Points

Developed through Policy Consultation on Energy Efficiency Standards and Labeling (EE S&L) for Cambodia, under the 2014 ASEAN+3 Mitigation Cooperation Programme, supported by the Government of Korea through the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE), and is jointly implemented by the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) on behalf of the ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Energy (SOME) and the Korea Energy Management Corporation (KEMCO) on behalf of MOTIE. The action plans aims to:

    • Identify approaches used for EE S&L in Cambodia, including policy, legislation and implementation;
    • Assess the effectiveness of Korea EE S&L approaches in improving energy efficiency in to be used to improve policy development and implementation in Cambodia
    • Suggest areas where international cooperation on S&L could improve implementation and/or reduce costs, including linkages with other international or regional initiatives
    • Based on the above, make suggestions on possible future activities to improve the use of EE S&L to improve energy efficiency.
