16 October 2025 – The Gala Dinner and Awarding Ceremony of ASEAN Energy Awards (AEA) 2025 was held on Thursday, 16 October 2025 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Malaysia, as part of the 43rd ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM-43) and 25th ASEAN Energy Business Forum (AEBF-25) hosted by Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA), Malaysia.
YAB Datuk Amar Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of PETRA, Malaysia highlighted that the ASEAN Energy Awards (AEA) reflects the innovation, collaboration, and leadership within the region. These achievements are key to ensure growth and low carbon future. His Excellency also expressed his wish that the awardees will inspire more efforts to achieve sustainability in ASEAN.
The categories were ASEAN Renewable Energy Project Awards, ASEAN Energy Efficiency and Conservation Best Practices Awards, ASEAN Coal Awards, ASEAN Excellence in Energy Management by Individuals, and the 5th ASEAN Energy Youth Awards (AEYA) and presented by the energy ministers and senior officials of the ASEAN Member States.
