The ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) and the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) invite all 11 ASEAN Member States to submit requests for tailored support under the Pull Mechanism of PEEB ASEAN Component 1. The first round of submissions is open until 31 August 2026.
The Pull Mechanism is a demand-driven pathway. It enables each Member State to bring forward the priorities that matter most to its own building sector, whether these relate to strengthening policy, sharpening regulations, unlocking finance, building institutional capacity, or shaping market incentives. Support is shaped around what each country actually needs to move faster.
Requests may cover five broad areas: policy and governance, including national EE policy development and regulatory harmonisation; building efficiency regulations, from green building codes to compliance mechanisms; fiscal instruments such as performance-based subsidies and preferential financing; capacity building for auditors, inspectors, and policymakers; and information and market-based incentives, including awards, labelling, and awareness campaigns.
To learn more about the Pull Mechanism, scan the QR code on the accompanying poster to access the full fact sheet and programme details. From there, the QR code on the fact sheet will take you directly to the Pull Request Submission Form, ready to be completed and submitted.
Requests should be channelled through the EE&C-SSN Focal Point to ACE PMO1, or through the relevant AFD field office to AFD PMO2, using the Pull Request Submission Form.
We encourage every AMS to make full use of this opportunity. Your priorities set the direction; PEEB ASEAN provides the means to accelerate them.
