The West Asia disruptions around the Strait of Hormuz back in February 2026 have provided real-word test on ASEAN's energy security arrangements, shedding light on how the region's shipping, freight, crude and LNG flows, and refined product markets perform under pressure. 

Ahead of the 44th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM) to be held next week in Manila, Philippines, ACE is preparing a “Beyond the Strait of Hormuz: Rethinking ASEAN Energy Security” package that combines the publication of a Special Edition analysis on the crisis with a public webinar to translate its findings into a forward-looking discussion. 

Join us in this Webinar as we draw on the 2026 experience to explore what became constrained, which signals proved most useful, where national and regional response mechanisms reached their limits, and how ASEAN can prepare for future compound disruptions, moving from crisis monitoring towards regional energy-security stress testing.
