Vietnam has a total land area of 331,230 km2, with the total population of 100.3 million people in 2023, is the third largest ASEAN member state by population. The country shares a land border with Cambodia, China and Lao PDR as well as a maritime border with China and Thailand. The GDP (Current US$) reached USD 433.9 Billions in 2023 with 18.4% growth compared to last year [1]. The national electrification rate was decline to 99.8%. The electricity is consumed by citizens on the average of 2,453 kWh per capita.
As of 2023, the power production is dominated by coal with a share of 46.1% in electricity generation, followed by hydropower with 28.5% and solar PV with 10.82%. Markets for renewable energies especially solar power shows tremendous stage, Vietnam was becoming a solar giant in the solar installation. By 2023, the country had 17.1 GW solar installation [2].
