ASEAN Women in Energy-Climate

The ASEAN Women in Energy-Climate initiative is a dedicated platform designed to amplify the voices, expertise, and leadership of women at the forefront of Southeast Asia’s journey toward Net Zero. As the region faces unique vulnerabilities to climate change, we believe that a truly sustainable transition is impossible without gender-inclusive innovation and decision-making. By integrating gender perspectives into the ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation (APAEC), we are ensuring that the energy transition is not only green but equitable. From rural electrification projects led by female entrepreneurs to urban decarbonization strategies designed by women engineers, we are redefining what it means to lead in the climate era.
